Upon receiving the following
email about a Swarovski Mother's Day Promotion, I was reminded of my local
participation in a program based on Julia Cameron's book, "The Artist's
Way". One of the recommendations was that we have regular "Artist
Dates", either alone or with companions. The purpose of the Artist Date is
to "get outside" and allow ourselves to be inspired by the expressed
creativity around us.
In jewelry making, a powerful source of energy can be going to see special in-store displays and promotions like this Swarovski Mother's Day event. Jewelry designers who use Swarovski and Austrian crystal components in their brooches, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces can appreciate it when a jewelry finding is a true fit for their stones.
Shown below are some Guyot Brothers components that take SS30 flat back crystals. Many Guyot filigrees are also beautiful back-drops for crystals and crystal components.
Swarovski USA next week breaks a Mother's Day promotion for its crystal jewelry and giftware in 1,500 department stores and specialty stores. The effort centers on a "Mother's Garden" display that groups floral jewelry and gifts. "Flowers are the top gift that consumers give their moms. That theme drives the display," said Bill McBrayer, chief creative officer for Concept One, the Westport, CT-based shop handling the campaign.
Display size is customized for stores. An incentive program for sales staff will aware prizes to top-selling associates: two grand-prize trips to Gardens of Sedona spa in Arizona, five first prizes of the Daniel Swarovski signature couture product collection, and five second prizes of a year's subscription to the Bouquet of the Month Club. The effort runs through mid-May.
