Official Price Guide to Costume Jewelry
by Harrice Simons Miller
review by Sandra Todaro

The book cover from the "Official Price Guide to Costume Jewelry"

Harrice Miller has released the third volume of her Price Guide to Costume Jewelry. Everyone who loves costume jewelry is familiar with these books. This newest edition has some updated prices and some very interesting new pieces, but unfortunately, the majority of the photos are still in black and white. How I wish this beautiful jewelry was shown in color so that we could discern detail and color combinations! The other main drawback is the poor grade of paper used in the production of the book. On the positive side, there are new categories including a section on Joan Rivers Jewelry. There is an interesting section on the current marketplace and another good section on repros, and I have to hand it to Ms. Miller, she does manage to continue to come up with some of the most unusual jewelry out there.
