To ring in the
new, we thought it would be interesting to share a bit of the old
- some Guyot
product history, in fact.
Shown below are some filigree items which are not yet in the on-line catalog. The filigrees themselves have been in production at our company for decades, but the daps were developed in 1965 for a company known as Porcelain Button Beauties. These items were developed for the specific purpose of wrapping stones and porcelain cabochons, although they can be used for a number of other objects including table tops and lamp bases for dollhouse miniatures. For several years, they were confined items, however, we received permission from Porcelain Button in the late 1980's to offer them as open stock.
